This is a SECOND CHAPTER in the story
of unreported slaughter of the Serbs in Central Bosnia. The introduction
presented at this link also contains maps
showing Mrkonjic Grad's position. If you did not - please
read that page first. Again, as the Western media did not want to
report on the event where the Serbs were the victims we have to
somewhat depart from our Library Section pledge to present Western
sources only. Here we have to rely mostly on the Serbian sources.
Whatever little the Western sources admit though, will be enough to
support the Serbian claims.
MRKONJIC GRAD
Massacre of the Serbs
The true genocidal nature of NATO's all out attack on
the Serbian people at the end of 20th century can easily
be seen in the example of the bloody orgy perpetrated on the
captured Serbs in the small Bosnian Serb town of Mrkonjic Grad.
The slaughter happened in the very last two days of
72 (seventy two) days long NATO performed ethnic
cleansing, of the Western Serbs. The raw military force NATO
unleashed, and horror it produced, was of a kind not experienced
on the European continent since the time of Hitler.
The wide sweep of Serb-cleansing started with NATO airplane
attack on Serbian command centers in Krajina on August 2, 1995.
The air assault was to provide cover for the American proxies on
the ground - the new Croat Nazis.
America not only trained and equipped Croat forces - they
planned this genocide in detail. Croats did not even have to
come up with the name of the operation. It will be known
in history as operation "Storm" a name borrowed
from American original - "Operation Desert Storm."
The result of this two and half months long NATO's relentless
bombing, combined with their local proxies' ground assault, was
that huge swats of historically Serbian lands (as shown on the
previous page) were
cleansed of the Serbs. More than half a million Western Serbs
lost their houses and the lands they inherited from father to
son - over centuries.
These people lost everything they ever owned.
By October 12, 1995 when the hostilities against the
Serbian people (at least temporarily) ended, the Serbs suffered
by far largest ethnic cleansing in their entire, long and
sore history. The carnage will continue with expulsion of
Sarajevo and then Kosovo Serbs.
Centuries long merciless rule of
the Turkish Empire, all-out attack on the Serbian people by the
Austro-Hungarian Empire during World War One, mass-slaughter
of the Serbian people by their Croat, Muslim and Albanian
neighbors during the times of Hitler and Mussolini - all of
this was surpassed by America and its Western European club
of ex-colonial, genocidal nations.
There is no need to elaborate this statement. Whoever knows
even the most basic history of this world knows quite well who
the oppressor nations of this planet are. Germans, Turks, Americans,
Brits, Spaniards and French but even little Belgium have long list
of atrocities they committed over countless peoples of this planet.
They murdered and pillaged far and wide - across the globe.
And they glorified and justified it all. Despite everything they
were always right. Despite everything they always saw themselves
as people of higher culture and higher moral values.
They grabbed whole continents and far way islands - and every
piece of dirt sticking out of water. At the same time they were
the same ones who blamed Bosnia and Krajina Serbs for
"land-grab" and now even of the "war crime".
The proof to the genocidal nature of the Western onslaught
on the Serbian people lies in the fact that the Serbs were
denied their inborn right to simply - exist! When the Serbs
simply dared defend their very existence in Krajina and Bosnia
they were called aggressors, land-grabbers even conquerors.
All the Serbian leaders - anyone of importance - whether in the
realm of politics or military were declared a "war
criminal." They were dragged to the Hague dungeons or
simply murdered on the street in front of their family.
It is undeniable that what happened in Mrkonjic Grad
was a true war crime. It is also undeniable that the Western
powers carry the full responsibility for it. It is they who
provided airplanes, tanks and howitzers which enabled Croat
knives to finish the job.
Let me repeat here that NATO openly took side in Bosnia's
civil war and became aviation for Croat
Nazis and pro-Al Qaeda
Bosnian Muslim forces. It is frequently overlooked though that
NATO also employed "Rapid Reaction Force."
This force consisted of tanks and artillery which provided ground
support for the proxies.
They were merciless too. Mr. Tika Jankovic, a Serb who lives for couple
of decades in California reported the following:
"In May 1998 I visited Mrkonjic Grad
in Republika Srpska. A regiment of English SFOR troops was based
in the area. Earlier, in October, 1995, the British had bombarded
Mrkonjic Grad for 24 hours, dropping 10,000 shells on a city of
some 30,000 people, mainly Serbs… These were the same howitzers
they used in supporting their Croat-Nazi ally when they cleansed
Knin the capital of Serbian Krajina. On the Serbian population they
even tested 400 mm cannons built for the ships. A month before
the attack NATO's pilotless airplanes were filming the area
studying every square foot. This was clearly a NATO operation
targeting a Serbian town in preparation to cleanse it of its
Serb population.
I talked to witnesses from Mrkonjic Grad. English
SFOR troops
was shelling the town for full three days: October 8, 9 and 10.
It was close to impossible to escape the shelling and Croat
troops encirclement. Some people - women and children included -
were able to escape the encirclement at the last moment, but the
Croat troops broke through. The escaping Serb civilians were hunted
down, brought to the Serb cemetery in Mrkonjic Grad and then
tortured there - for days. Slow death was to be their destiny.
What kind of ammunition did the English troops use is also
clear now. I spoke to several residents who worked at the British
NATO base. They told me that the British commander had issued
warnings to the troops not to drink the water or touch the soil
or purchase food produced by local farmers for fear of
DU and other contamination from
their bombing and spraying.
NATO troops left the town in Croat hands for a few months
after the war ended. They used the time to carefully study the
destructive effects of their shelling."
(End quote)
But let us put the events on the time line:
The war ends,
systematic looting continues
The hostilities supposedly ended on October 12, 1995,
but month and a half later the Croats still have a free
hand. Are they busy covering the atrocity they performed?
No, they do not care about that. They have powerful protectors.
Here is what they do:
OMRI Daily Digest, No. 229, November 27, 1995
by Patrick Moore (quote):
CROATIAN TROOPS TORCHING MRKONJIC GRAD. The Frankfurter Allgemeine
Zeitung on 27 November reported that uniformed
Croats are systematically looting and burning properties in Mrkonjic
Grad and surrounding areas.
Croatian forces took the region in the weeks before the peace conference
but will return it to the Serbs rather than yield [sic!!!] land to them
along the northern supply corridor...
(End quote)
As we saw in the previous page
the Croats not only do not yield land in the Northern Corridor -
NATO grants them more land there including the municipality of
Odzak.
A week later even anti-Serb CNN has to report:
Continued plunder
CNN report dated:
December 2, 1995
Web posted at: 11:45 p.m. EST (0445 GMT) QUOTE:
GORNJI VAKUF, Bosnia (CNN) - Bosnian
Croat militia forces
ransacked and torched houses in areas scheduled to return
to the Serbs despite earlier assurances by their leaders
that the destruction would stop, the United Nations said
Saturday.
An entire village was burnt to the ground near the town
of Mrkonjic Grad. The town was pillaged earlier this week
by Croat forces enraged that the Serbs had won back the
region under the Dayton, Ohio, peace accord.
U.N. spokesperson Chris Vernon said 20 buildings were
burning in the region of Sipovo at the time when the
Bosnian Croat militia had deployed additional troops
in the sector.
U.N. personnel said they saw other fires across the area.
Some occurred while Bosnian Croat soldiers watched,
belying claims of official disapproval, U.N. personnel said.
After the local Bosnian Coat militia denied they were
trying to raze the area and promised to rein in "rogue"
elements [sic], the burning appeared to abate.
The United Nations had assessed Wednesday that the Bosnian
Croats were more interested in systematically looting the
area than in burning property.
"The fact we're seeing (militia) soldiers stand by
watching the fires burning is not consistent with
attempts to halt the blazes," said Alun Roberts, a
U.N. spokesperson. "As time goes by the pledges of
increased security seem more and more feeble."
The United Nations also complained that British
reconnaissance units were being kept out of Mrkonjic
Grad and other restrictions were being placed on their
movement.
"They (the [Croat] militia) are very nervous [sic!]
of the U.N. moving around," Roberts said.
(End quote)
Note that anti-Serb CNN gave all kinds of excuses to
Croats while not mentioning that the Serbs handed over
the areas they held - without problem. Again, see case of
Odzak for example. The Serbs
were forced by the Dayton "agreement" to give
away some strategic key areas like most of "Northern
Corridor" a corridor to Gorazde,
all the possessions in Sarajevo, etc.
UN empty complaints
Three days later on December 5,1995
slow to react UN representative finally makes some verbal
complaint:
The UNPROFOR spokesman in Sarajevo A. Ivanko reported that
members of HVO continue to plunder and set on fire Serbian
houses in Sipovo and Mrkonjic Grad. "They violate the Dayton
agreement with this conduct. Croatian military representatives
of HVO told us they will end that vandalism, but nothing
changed on the ground", said Ivanko. "UN forces continue to
report that 20 buildings are burning on the territory of
Sipovo although HVO deployed additional units on that
territory", estimated the UN military representative
Chris Vernon.
Another two days passed, another empty UN complaint:

SECURITY COUNCIL DEMANDS END TO LOOTING, BURNING
IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
Presidential Statement Cites Acts Near Mrkonjic Grad, Sipovo
The Security Council this afternoon demanded an immediate end to the
looting and burning of houses by Bosnian Croat forces in the area of
Mrkonjic Grad and Sipovo...
In a statement read out on the Council's behalf by its President, Sergey
Lavrov (Russian Federation), the Council expressed deep concern over such
actions, calling them dangerous and detrimental to implementation of the
Peace Agreement on Bosnia and Herzegovina. It stressed the need for
maximum restraint and cooperation from all the parties.
The meeting, which was called to order at 5:32 p.m., was adjourned at
5:38 p.m.
The ... text of the Presidential statement, to be released as document
S/PRST/1995/60, reads as follows:
"The Security Council expresses deep concern over the looting and burning
of houses by the HVO forces in the area of Mrkonjic Grad and Sipovo, which
have continued for some time... The Council is also deeply concerned by
reports that the HVO is moving mine laying equipment into the Mrkonjic
Grad and Sipovo areas.
"The Security Council considers that such actions are dangerous and
detrimental to the spirit of confidence essential for the implementation of
the Peace Agreement on Bosnia and Herzegovina (S/1995/999, annex).
"The Security Council demands that all such actions be stopped
immediately and stresses the need for all parties to exercise maximum
restraint and to demonstrate the cooperation essential for the successful
implementation of the Peace Agreement."

Three months later: The first Serb delegation enters the town
[Belgrade] Borba,
January 2, 1996
SIPOVO AND MRKONJIC-GRAD RAZED TO THE GROUND
A joint delegation comprising local officials from Mrkonjic-Grad and Sipovo,
visited the two towns and established that they have been practically razed
to the ground and most of the buildings burned - said Mr. Slavko Kopuz -
chairman of the Mrkonjic-Grad Municipal Council Executive Board. "Combined
units of the Croatian Army and Croatian Defense Council (HVO), that are
supposed to withdraw from Mrkonjic-Grad and Sipovo on February 2 according
to the Dayton Agreement, plundered all private and public property in the
two towns." - Mr. Kopuz said. He stressed that extensive damage has been
inflicted to the waterworks and sewage system adding that most of the
plants have been burned, and that in the remaining ones the machinery has
been dismantled and taken away. Mr. Brano Jovanic - manager of the
"Elektro Krajina" power company and member of the expert team
that entered Mrkonjic-Grad with the help of IFOR troops, revealed that
the Croats
plundered power network very systematically. There are practically no
transformer station left in the region. Not a single screw is left in
the local screw factory and there isn't a single window left in the
entire town.

Meanwhile, in Croatia, the U.N. refugee agency
condemned what it called a scorched-earth policy
being carried out by Croatian forces in a Bosnian
town that is to be handed back to Serbs. Houses were
being burned and looted in the town of Mrkonjic Grad,
an agency spokesman said.

Not much else was heard in the democratic West about this
"condemnation."
In Chapter Four we talk
about just how thorough the Croat Nazi destruction was. Let us quote
here words of one of Serb survivors, as he returned to completely
gutted house that used to be his home:
"There's
not a single square foot of livable space here...
They took everything and
deliberately left the empty photo album. That's
their message... It is my misery to have eyes and be
forced to look at all this."

Five months after Croat Nazi conquest: The Bosnian Serb Army enters the town
March 20, 1996 -
Following the withdrawal of federal forces in keeping with the
Dayton accord, Bosnian Serb forces (VRS) enter the region around
Sipkovo and Mrkonjic Grad. The 1,000 VRS men are monitored by
2,000 IFOR peacekeepers and NATO air patrols.
For full five months the West did not care to check what happened
to the local Serbs - while, at the same time digging everywhere
around Srebrenica in trying to blame the entire war and all
atrocities - to the Serb people.
The Serbs start digging right away.

ANOTHER 18 MUTILATED BODIES EXHUMED AT MRKONJIC GRAD
Another 18 bodies of
Bosnian Serb civilians and troops killed in a
Muslim-Croat offensive against the west of the
Republika Srpska in 1995 were exhumed from a mass grave
at Mrkonjic Grad on Sunday, second day of exhumation.
The bodies taken out of the unmarked 70-by-50-metre
mass grave in the western Bosnian Serb town of Mrkonjic
Grad's Orthodox Christian graveyard had been piled one
on top of another without order or method.
On the first day, ten bodies were recovered, all
showing signs of blows having been administered to the
head, according to forensic pathologists.
The forensic team from the Belgrade military hospital,
headed by dr Zoran Stankovic, determined on Sunday that
the bodies all had crushed skulls, but the cause of
death will be determined after a detailed autopsy.
The opening of the grave was
attended by John Garns of the Hague-based International
War Crimes Tribunal for
former Yugoslavia, representatives of other
international organisations, domestic and foreign
reporters. The exhumation is expected to be
completed by the end of next week.

is made all the more difficult because documents or personal
belongings were not found together with the exhumed bodies.

MONSTROUS MASSACRE
Seventy-eight bodies have been exhumed from the mass grave at the
Orthodox cemetery in Mrkonjic Grad, containing the victims of the
Moslem-Croatian offensive on Western parts of the Republic of Srpska
last autumn. The remains of the victims -
mostly civilians - show that they were tortured before dying;
numerous have cracked skulls, some bodies show burns, and some
have been mutilated - without extremities. It is estimated
that the tomb contains the bodies of about 200 Bosnian Serb
civilians and soldiers.

Investigators to Begin Surveying Mass
Grave Sites
By GEORGE ESPER
AP Special Correspondent
... Serbs, ... are publicizing alleged atrocities where they
were the victims.
Belgrade's Tanjug news agency said Tuesday that digs at Mrkonjic
Grad in western Bosnia have revealed the remains of 110 Serb
soldiers and civilians. Exhumation began Saturday, and the mass
graves are believed to contain more than 200 bodies, Tanjug said.
Bosnian Serb sources claim that at least 300 Serbs _ soldiers
and civilians _ died in the Croat offensive last autumn against
Mrkonjic Grad. Serbs lost the town but were ceded it in the
negotiations that led to the Dayton peace agreement late last year
and the end of the Bosnian war...
(End quote)
Notice how these are supposedly "alleged atrocities"
despite the piles of clearly mutilated bodies and despite that
the Western representatives were present to verify the facts.
In the next Western wire report presented here - clear
instructions were given to the Western reader that Srebrenica --
and not Mrkonjic Grad -- should symbolize the horrors of the
Bosnian wars.
Also, this time, the Westerners are quite easily finding
"proofs" for the Serbian "crime." These
blunt, baseless and harsh accusations leveled against the
Serbian people are not labeled as allegations any more.
A scrap of cloth or even a strange smell is a "proof."
Pieces of cloth and smell -
already - a proof for 7,000 dead!

Investigators Find Blindfolds at
Suspected Mass Grave Site
By GEORGE ESPER
AP Special Correspondent
SAHINICI, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AP) _ U.N. investigators on
Thursday stacked up rows of blindfolds on a muddy hillside,
powerful evidence that beneath them lay the victims of an ethnic
massacre.
The dozens of blindfolds, strips of cloth mostly in dark colors,
support survivors' accounts that up to 7,000 men [wow!!!] were slaughtered
by the Bosnian Serbs who overran the Muslim enclave of Srebrenica
last summer.
In Bosnia's first spring thaw in peace after four years of war,
investigators are spreading out in pursuit of human remains and
other physical evidence to back up such accounts. What they find
will be used by the war crimes tribunal in the Netherlands to
prosecute those responsible.
Other mass graves dot Bosnia _ Bosnian Serbs have excavated more
than 100 bodies near the western town of Mrkonjic Grad since
Saturday. The Serbs say the victims apparently were killed by
Croats.
But Srebrenica appears to be the site of the worst massacre of
the war, and the fields around it have come to symbolize the horror
of Bosnia's ordeal... [Our comment: Yes, thanks to Western lies and
propaganda].
The war crimes tribunal has indicted the Bosnian Serbs' highest
leaders, Radovan Karadzic and Gen. Ratko Mladic, for their alleged
roles in the Srebrenica massacre...[Our comment: All top Bosnian
Serb both military and political leadership is declared by the West
as war criminals. And no-one of importance from Bosnian Muslim
or Croat side. A clear - racist bias!].
Almost 100 U.S. troops with Bradley fighting vehicles, artillery
and attack helicopters were in the area to provide security for the
U.N. team if needed. But for the most part they were distant from
the actual site. Except for a few Bradleys and humvees, they
remained out of sight. [No-one guards or cares for the Serbs.]

Scientists Smell For Death at
Mass Grave Site
By GEORGE ESPER
AP Special Correspondent
BRANJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AP) _ William Haglund walked
through a Bosnian farm Friday, stopping where human bones protruded
from the mud. Over and over, he inserted a five-foot steel pole
into the earth, pulled it out and sniffed for death.
"You can smell it when it's
there," said U.N. investigator
[from a NATO country] Jean-Rene Ruez, explaining why his colleague
was raising the probe to his nose.
Haglund, a U.N. consultant from Seattle [United States]
who works with the Boston-based group Physicians for Human
Rights, recorded his observations with a tape recorder,
speaking too quietly for observers to hear him.
He and his six U.N. [actually - NATO] colleagues were
searching for evidence of a mass grave believed to lie beneath
the collective farm in the heart of Bosnian Serb territory.
Branjevo is about 30 miles northwest of Srebrenica, a Muslim
enclave that fell to the Serbs last July. About 7,000 men
disappeared [according to Muslim sources] when the town fell...
Madeleine Albright, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations,
visited the site two weeks ago and said she believed as many as
1,000 people were buried under the farm. [Our comment: This
astonishing anti-Serb bigot whose life was twice saved by the
Serbs, has super-human abilities. She has X-ray vision and is
able to see through dirt and gravel. She is also a born patologist
and is able to recognize human bones vs. bones of a cow.
Truly amazing creature which only lives in the U.S. but is
actually from planet Crypton.]
The U.N. team searched Friday for evidence to back up that
belief. [i.e. to back up the astonishing accusations by the bitch.]
They took photographs of mounds of dirt and of human
remains that protruded from them. They tagged each bit of evidence
with yellow markers...
[Crap about Croat Drazen Erdemovic claims snipped... Words,
and words only of this Croat were supposedly a proof of Serb
atrocity... All of his verbal accusations were put in this
report. ...]
Branjevo is just one of several places near Srebrenica believed
to hold mass graves. Investigators are spreading out to search them
for evidence that can be used by the war crimes tribunal to
prosecute those [Serbs!] responsible for the slaughter.
On Thursday, the U.N. investigators found dozens of blindfolds
and some human remains in the village of Sahinici, supporting
survivors' accounts of a slaughter of hundreds there.
And on Friday, Bosnian Serbs said [said only!?] they had
excavated 181 bodies near the western town of Mrkonjic Grad
since March 30. The Serbs say the victims were killed by
Muslim and Croat troops during an offensive last fall.
All but one of the bodies showed signs
of violence, the head of the team, Zoran Stankovic, told the
Belgrade, Yugoslavia-based Tanjug news agency on Friday. Tanjug
said 74 of the 181 bodies removed so far had been identified.
Stankovic said the victims were mostly civilians, with the
youngest 22 years old and the oldest over 90. There were some
soldiers in the grave, and the bodies of women killed in their
nightgowns.
"I never saw so many bodies with severe head injures," he
later told The Associated Press. "About half of all the victims
were killed with a serious blunt instrument, apparently without
possibility to defend themselves."
Stankovic said international observers
were present during the dig, and the Serbs filmed the
procedure.

during the Croatian-Moslem joint offensive on the western border of the Republic
of Srpska. The initial findings made by the expert team of pathologists from the
Military Medical Academy in Belgrade - headed by Prof. Dr. Zoran Stankovic,

the identification will be very difficult. The exhumation

INVESTIGATION OF WAR CRIMES LAUNCHED
Captain Borisa Ilic - Investigative Judge of the Banjaluka Military Court,
submitted a request to the investigative bodies to gather data on the state of
the family homes of all those whose remains have been identified after being
exhumed from the mass grave at the Orthodox cemetery in Mrkonjic Grad. There are
justified suspicions that the homes have been destroyed and that this along with
the massacre constitutes a crime of war against civilian population, said Cap.
Ilic. From the two mass graves,
181 corpses have been
exhumed. They were all
victims of the Moslem-Croatian terror during their offensive on western parts of
the Republic of Srpska last autumn when Mrkonjic Grad was occupied.
Many of them
were civilians, prevalently women and elderly persons - said the head of the
team of pathologists - Prof. Dr. Zoran Stankovic, adding that most of them have
been brutally killed - usually with a blow of a blunt object in the head.
There are indications that a certain number of victims were mental patients -
and such individuals are protected by international laws.

Serbs Say Findings from Mass Grave
Indicate Croat Atrocities
BANJA LUKA, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AP) _ Mass graves uncovered in
western Bosnia contain dozens of civilian Serb victims of Croat
massacres, including women apparently slain while still in their
nightclothes, Serb forensic experts said Monday.
A representative of the international
war crimes tribunal in The
Hague, Netherlands, international police and European Union
monitors were present as Serbs exhumed 181 bodies in two mass
graves at the Serbian Orthodox cemetery in the town of Mrkonjic
Grad, 75 miles northwest of Sarajevo.
The tribunal representative refused
to comment on the Serbs' findings from an eight-day
investigation at the cemetery. [Not even a comment!!!]
Bosnian Croats never have answered the Serb charges.
Serbs have been eager to show that, although blamed [thanks to Western
lies and manipulation] for most of
the atrocities in the Bosnian war, they, too, suffered at the hands
of Croats and Muslims.
In any case, Serb officials said Monday that the evidence they
unearthed in Mrkonjic Grad left little doubt that Croats killed
Serb civilians.
Zoran Stankovic, a Serb forensics expert, told reporters that
102 of the corpses unearthed had smashed skulls, fractures, bullet
holes at the back of the head from shots fired at close range, and
other signs of non-combat death.
"The head injuries
alone say a lot about those who killed those people," he said.
Bosnian Serbs had control over the town and parts of western
Bosnia for most of the war, [or more precisely - since seventh century
when the Serbs settled in Bosnia] which began in 1992. Last fall,
Croatian army and Bosnian Croat forces teamed up with the
Muslim-led Bosnian army to take the town and adjacent territory.
It was returned to the Serbs as part of the Dayton peace
agreement.
Serbs have claimed that along with extensive looting and burning
of the area, Croats killed up to 300 Serb civilians and captured
soldiers.
The Serb officials said [as all of the present Western monitors
were born mute and could not say it themselves in the same way]
27 of the dead were more than 60 years
old, and four corpses were decapitated. Slightly more than half the
bodies were in military uniform, but among those in civilian
clothes were women in nightgowns, Serb investigators said.
Dozens of relatives of missing people came to the town, and
stood nearby as officials exhumed the bodies.
Serbs also have said they found the charred remains of elderly
people in houses in the Mrkonjic Grad area.

SRNA REVIEW OF EVENING NEWS,
Wednesday, April 10, 1996
Yesterday, in the village of Suvjan, close to Mrkonjic Grad,
eight civilian victims were identified, mostly old people.
Entire Serb families of Grmas, Rozic and Jorganovic were
found - burned to death - in the house of [69 years old]
Pantelija Grmas.
The victims of this
Croat Ustashas' atrocity perpetrated
during their offensive last October, were identified as:
- Pantelija (Stanka) Grmas - woman born in 1926,
- Sava (Jove) Grmas - man born in 1928,
- Branko (Simeuna) Rozic - man born in 1926,
- Nevenka (Stanka) Rozic - woman born in 1932,
- Radojka (Branka) Rozic - woman born in 1961,
- Radojka (Sima) Jorganovic - woman born in 1926,
- Jela (Jova) Jorganovic - woman born in 1934,
- Branko Kudra - man born in 1938

Notice the age of the victims. How would the Western press
react if it was Serbs who were found to murder old, helpless
people? Would that not be the front page article for
New York Times and the like?
What could be the point of purposely murdering a 90 years
old person? Just because the person was born as a Serb? What
is the message of such atrocities? And yes - Croat Nazis
clearly wanted the leave the message as they left bodies
of their victims unburied for everyone to see. The murderers
were in the area months after the crime - but did not care to
try to hide it.
What is absolutely shocking is this
blunt repetition of
the horrible history. It is the worst nightmare becoming true.
The very same people who somehow survived
appalling atrocities
of the original Ustashas - during
WWII and the time of Hitler, did not manage to survive this
time and the second onslaught of revamped
Ustashas during
the reign of one Bill Clinton!
How appalled would the world be if Germans resumed burning
the Jews? Why is the world not appalled when the victims are
the Serbs?
Remember the sentence Encyclopedia Britannica repeated for
almost two decades?

MASS GRAVES IN MRKONJIC GRAD - THE LARGEST ONES IN BOSNIA
The international observers who were
present at the exhumation of the
victims from the mass graves in Mrkonjic Grad, confirm that these are the
largest mass graves discovered so far in Bosnia, Reuters reports. Serbs knew
that the area of Mrkonjic Grad was burnt-down and plundered during the
offensive of the Croat forces, but no one was ready to face what has actually
been discovered. The experts have found 181 bodies in the shallow graves.
Croats, who have conquered this town in their offensive of October last, claim
that they have buried some Serbian soldiers, but the autopsy finds, however,
are raising serious doubts as to such claims, states Reuters.
From the
exhumated victims, 102 are having serious scull injuries, four are beheaded
and 11 are the bodies of old and middle-aged women. The Hague Tribunal for War
Crimes will examine the documentation submitted to it by the Serbian
authorities, demanding for the proceedings to be instigated on the grounds of
Croat crimes committed in the area of Mrkonjic Grad.

THE IDENTIFICATION WAS NOT EASY!
SARAJEVO - "During my 15-day stay in Mrkonjic Grad
I could see only sights of terror, bodies were buried in 230 meters
deep [mountain] pits full of water," stated Prof. Dr Zoran Stankovic,
pathologist from the Military-Medical Academy in Belgrade.
"The identification was made even
more difficult because we did not find personal documents.
No documents were found at 171 bodies; 63 bodies were found
without any personal things, and 53 without footwear," stated
Dr. Stankovic.

THE METHODS OF KILLING STAY THE SAME
At a press conference for foreign and domestic reporters held in Pale,
Zoran Stankovic M.D. - pathologist of the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade
- who investigated 30 mass graves in Bosnia with his forensics team, revealed
that 181 bodies have been exhumed at the Orthodox graveyard in Mrkonjic Grad.
The head wounds found on 102 victims, appear to be
the same as those observed
on victims in Mostar, Kupres Valley and River Sava Valley, and according to
doctor Stankovic, this indicates a characteristic treatment of the prisoners
by the Croats. The same forensics expert drew a parallel with the report on
Croatian and Moslem crimes against Serbs during WW I [World War One!!!] by
Dr. Archibald
Rice and similar reports on crimes committed during WW II. He remarked that
the methods of killing remained the same, and offered the example of the
Croatian Army colonel Boris Zdilar, who stated in an interview for Croatian
Television that the victims in Mrkonjic Grad were members of the Bosnian Serb
Army (VRS) and that they were killed in action, whilst the investigation
revealed that the victims were 60, 70 and even 80 years old. Mr. John Gerns
- expert of the Hague Tribunal that monitored the exhumation of the mass
graves in Mrkonjic Grad, confirmed Dr. Stankovic's findings and stated
that the Hague Tribunal will base its investigation on them.

UN officials visit Mrkonjic Grad mass graves
BANJA LUKA - Mass graves at Mrkonjic Grad undoubtedly testify a
horrible atrocities, and between the victims were women, children
and old Serbian people - stated at Banja Luka Elizabeth Rehn, a
special UN envoy for human rights. "I met also the Muslim citizens
which live here peacefully, and they confirmed that they
don't have any problems, except difficult living conditions, as
the consequence of recent war"- stressed Mrs. Rehn at the press
release.
MRKONJIC GRAD - The UN High Commissioner for Refugees Sadako
Ogata visited mass graves in Mrkonjic Grad where last month were
discovered 181 bodies of Serbian civilians killed by Croats
during withdrawal from this city which was allotted to RS in
accordance with Dayton peace accord. Ogata visited also a city
hospital and talked with the citizens of Mrkonjic Grad which
returned back to their destroyed and burned homes.

It is clear what is happening here. The U.N. representatives
visit the suffering Serbs and pretend that someone cares about their
destinies. But Serbian destinies are controlled by America's might
and not by UN which is but a tool of American oppression and
planet-wide conquest. Mrs. Rehn and Mrs. Ogata came to fool
the Serbs and to give them a false sense of Western justice and
care.
In the Western press we found no mention of these UN official
visits or what they have said or done. Not even a trace.
"We have detailed reports
and over 20,000 photographs"
New York Times anti-Serb bigots were the last to mention
Mrkonjic Grad massacre. They were persistently outraged
(front page!) when
22,
68 and
33 civilians were
murdered in camera-ready Sarajevo
staged atrocities.
Now, that 181 Serbs (a number larger than all of the above
numbers combined!) were found mutilated, murdered in cold
blood - their journalist Chris Hedges puts this news in the
last quoter of otherwise vehemently anti-Serb article.
The key lie that the Serbs were conquering other people's
lands - and not simply defending
lands and property where they lived for centuries - finds
its place right in the title of this bigoted article. The title
revamps Austro-Hungarian World War One anti-Serb propaganda
slogan about "Greater Serbia." It reads:
"Dreams
of 'Greater Serbia' Live on in a Pale Bar".
Once the NYT reader swallows this elephant, the
journalist can continue to make fun of the Serbian anger
and despair. Almost million Western Serbs lost everything
they ever owned - thanks to NATO bombing - but the article
presents them as some sore, irrational losers who lost
their loot; their "land-grab".
To add insult to injury and as a clear sign of bad taste,
the author dares ridicule the Serbian grief over their dead and
says that Nazi style murder of those 181 people is somehow
magnified(!).

The New York Times,

"Dreams of 'Greater Serbia' Live on in a
Pale Bar"
by Chris Hedges
(EXCERPT):
...[Bosnian Serb officials] had gathered to hear a talk
by a Belgrade pathologist, Dr. Zoran Stankovic.
He had just exhumed the bodies of 181 Serbs found in a
mass grave in Mrkonjic Grad, 23 miles south of Banja Luka.
The grave was discovered after the withdrawal of Croatian
troops, part of the Dayton agreement's redrawing
of the boundaries between the Serbian, Muslim and
Croatian entities that now make up Bosnia.
While most of the civilian victims in this war were Muslim or Croatian,
[SIC!!!] there were also atrocities committed against the Serbs. And
these atrocities are magnified [sic!] by the Serb leadership, while
the reports of Serbian killing of Muslims, including some 3,000 Muslims
captured in Srebrenica last year, are denied. Most Bosnian Serb leaders
assert that
the Muslims killed their
own people and
shelled their own
markets in Sarajevo just to tarnish the Serbs' image.
"We have investigated 30 mass
graves with Serbian victims
since the start of the war," the pathologist said, "and
we have reported our findings to the international court in The Hague.
But the court has yet to investigate these graves.
We have found 3,500 Serbian victims.
We have detailed reports and over 20,000 photographs.
"
The doctor flicked off the lights of the room and began
to show slides of decapitated and mutilated corpses.
"You can see here how this man's eyes were gouged
out," he said, lingering over the disfigured face of
a young man. "And, look on the belly of this man, you
can see how the Muslims carved in the Islamic crescent and
star on the skin."
As if the slides were not enough, he also showed videotapes,
most taken as he carried out his autopsies. The unease and
outrage in the room grew to the desired pitch....

Desperately searching for the "SERBIAN CRIME"
The May 17, 1996 issue of the Belgrade periodical ARGUMENT carries an
article entitled: "Interview with forensic medicine expert Dr. Zoran
Stankovic." The interview is centered on Dr. Stankovic's investigation
of a mass grave in Mrkonjic Grad, said to contain the remains of 181
Serb civilians killed during the capture of the town by Croatian
forces in 1995.
Towards the close of the interview, however, Dr. Stankovic makes an
interesting claim concerning the mine in Ljubija, said by the Western
officials to have been used as a corpse-disposal site by Serb nationalist
forces earlier in the war. Here is an excerpt of the article in translation:
ARGUMENT: Mr. Stankovic, the exhumation and identification
of victims' identites at Mrkonjic Grad is compelted. What is the
final result of the work of your team of experts?
Dr. Stankovic: We studied two graveyard sites. The first one
was Eastern Orthodox graveyard site which contained 181 victims.
Out of those we identified 136 people. Among the victims 28 were
older than 60 years old and 11 victims were women. The other site
was Muslim graveyard. We found 6 victims there and identified
3 of them.
On victims' bodies we found wounds from fire arms and mines, then
many wounds caused by dull objects. One person had an ear cut off
and for two heads were cut off. 52 people had head wounds with
smashed skull bones all caused by dull objects. In 170 people we
found no documents on them and their pockets were cut off, their
documents taken away. 67 people had no personal belongings on them
and 54 people were with bare feet.
While we were working [on those two sites] another round
hundred bodies were found. Some of those were civilians and women.
Other team was working on those cases. The carnage is thus much
greater.
In the village of Suvjan, for example, eight member family was
found burned in a house. One of the victims was a paralyzed, immobile
young woman.
ARGUMENT: Does that mean that the region round Mrkonjic
Grad is completely researched?
Dr. Stankovic: According to data coming from [Serbian] officials
there are other locations with 300 to 400 victims, especially
in Jajce region [which is under Croat control].
Round village of Vinci there is a mass grave with 30
[Serbian] children. We informed IFOR about it.
ARGUMENT: There is a team of Finnish experts in Srebrenica.
How do you cooperate with them?
Dr. Stankovic: They are just another prove
of the bias of so called "international community". They
expose their arrogance as they are
searching only the truth that fits their daily political correctness.
We were accused of blocking the work of the international teams. That
is simply not the case. We demand only the very basic respect of
procedure and order. You cannot dig without even informing authorities
of where you plan to do it. Also, I believe, we should have our expert
team present at Srebrenica locations. It is only fair that if the
"international community" demands a cooperation from us - they should
offer us some cooperation too.
ARGUMENT: What was the result of the
Ljubija diggings?
Dr. Stankovic: Well there, a few months ago,
top team of American
experts and divers got to the site of the Ljubija mine. They came
there with the best, cutting edge technology, to supposedly find
3,000 [!!!] Muslims killed by Serbs. They worked there for a long time but
came back only with a skeleton of a dog!
I do not think they published
the results of those findings either.
(End quote)
Are the Serbs so much better???
Teams of top Western forensic experts were sent by
Western politicians to dig (and sniff) around Srebrenica
and elsewhere in Bosnia and to search for the forecasted Serbian crime.
After years of digging the teams came with far fewer bodies then
claimed. Even worse - overwhelming majority of the bodies found
by the Western teams were never identified.
The fact that Western experts can not identify most of
the victims they found, while refusing to cooperate with the Serbs
colleagues, quite probably means that many of the victims they found
are - Bosnian Serbs. Some other impossible to identify bodies round
Srebrenica could easily be of Al Qaeda volunteers who came to
help Bosnian Muslim cause - the one of subjugating majority Christian
population of Bosnia to an Islamic rule.
In the case of small Bosnian town of Mrkonjic Grad, though,
there is no dispute who the victims were. Finding identity
of town victims, despite the fact that they were purposely
left without any documentation, turned out to be far
from impossible for the Serbian experts who seem to be the
only ones interested in dealing with this massacre.
Are the Serbs so much better than their Western
colleagues?
Or do we have a case - once and again - where
Serbian "war crimes" alleged by the West are
stagged (or simply invented - like in the case of Srebrenica)
while the crime that Western proxies (Croat Nazis and
Bosnian Islam fundamentalists) committed on the defenceless
Serb population (men, women and children; young and old) is
obvious and too painfully real.
If one is not simply a new type of racist - the one
trained to hate the Serbs - then a parallel between
Srebrenica hoax and
Mrkonjic Grad reality has to be drawn.
