We tricked you. One the left is Ante Pavelic leader of WW2 Ustashas. He is so loved by contemporary Croats that portrait like this one is freely sold on streets of Croat capital Zagreb. The new admirers added color to the photograph. On the right is Franjo Tudjman, Tito's Communist general turn Nazi. He is the one who formed yet another "Independent State of Croatia". He would not be able to achieve this without German and American sponsorship. |

It can have at least two forms. The shield form can be seen above behind Pavelic on the Ustasha flag but also here above, on the left on this Croatian postal spamp from 1992. "Sahovnica" can also have the square shape as seen on this personal flag of the fuhrer Pavelic (on the right). |
